Why these stages are standard
The 11-stage buyer pipeline is the spine of every Sales & CRM report, cadence rule, and document template. Allowing arbitrary stage removal would silently break screens 064 (Pipeline Funnel) · 070 (Cadence Compliance) · 071 (Quote-to-Won Time) · 074 (Custom Builder dimension) and propagate to Settlement / Accounts. Test Drive is intentionally not a pipeline stage · it is an activity / appointment overlay that can attach to stages 2-5. SLA thresholds, descriptions, and reporting metadata can be edited via approval; the stage set itself cannot.
